A day in the life of thirteen-year-old Varka, a day that lasts a lifetime, monotonous and difficult, banal and gray. A hundred years have passed since Chekhov wrote his most terrible short story, "Sleepiness," about indifference to human beings. Time has passed but life has not changed, we see Varka now. A day that can end in tragedy, the culprit of which is indifference.
