The shepherd Ahmet, about thirty years old, was in the high mountains with his sheep when a powerful avalanche destroyed his house and killed all his relatives and friends. Desperate, Ahmet decides to leave his home and go to Moscow to look for his cousin, the last relative he has left. During this journey he meets very different people, among whom a female conductor on the train who initiates him into the secrets of urban life. Disturbed by the misfortune that has befallen him, Ahmet remains full of energy and is always ready to help others, even those richer than him.
