Engineer Pright has invented a hydroturbine, and wants to build an electrical station to exploit his invention. He is also in love with the daughter of the director of the plant. But on the day of the inauguration, a group of saboteurs, hired by a competing company, blow up the transformers: several workers are killed and the region is deprived of electricity. Eventually the saboteurs are arrested, the factory is operating, and the engineer is still in love.
