Plot synopsis
Through three parallel stories, the film tries to understand the sources of heroism in wartime. The first story is about the memories of two friends deported to a Nazi concentration camp. The second tells of the attempt of Veronika, a playwright, to grasp the meaning of her father's exploits. The third is about how the common past connects generations.
