bertrand normand is a french filmmaker and producer. a graduate of canada’s vancouver film school, he has directed both narrative short films and documentaries. his latest short film, “the photographer” (2018), has participated in more than 70 festivals internationally and obtained 13 awards. his most renowned documentary “ballerina” (2006) has been released worldwide. his filmography also includes “thamanya” (2003, doc.), “tchaikovsky on the road” (2010, doc.), “long live the emperor” (2012, doc.), “letters to platonov” (2019, short).
