An enigmatic man, Dmitri Zorine, arrives at a mountaineering camp two days late and immediately starts getting on everyone’s nerves. Nobody knows who he is or why he is there, but together with the group of ten mountaineers, he must reach the summit of a mountain under the supervision of three guides. The experienced guides know that the weather is set to take a turn for the worse and that it would be better to call off the climb, but the desire to make money is stronger. On the route to the summit at an altitude of 5,200 metres, snowstorms, avalanches, wild animals, bitter cold and conflicts await them. But danger is not the main obstacle for Zorine and the others, for the closer they get to the summit, the more obvious it becomes that one cannot run away from oneself, and that it is time to face one’s fears and the mistakes of the past head-on.
