Fedya is a failed business psychologist. During a training session—while intoxicated—he causes a scene and becomes a laughingstock. Although he broadcasts "secrets to success" on his blog, he lost control of his own life long ago. His daughter, Sonya, is a withdrawn, troubled teenager. An insurmountable wall has grown between father and daughter since her mother's death, and her grandfather has taken over her upbringing.
After getting into a fight with peers, Sonya faces the risk of being sent to a juvenile detention center; to avoid this, she is sent to a summer correctional program at a provincial school. Fedya accompanies his daughter—both to keep an eye on her and to work as the school psychologist while the media storm surrounding his name blows over.
