Plot synopsis

In the early 1970s, the "Hephaestus" student construction brigade was formed at the Ural Polytechnic Institute. Every summer, during the break, the students would travel to various corners of the vast country to work on major infrastructure projects. Alumni look back on these summer work stints with nostalgia, sharing fascinating and amusing stories from their expeditions. From challenging living conditions and feats of labor to first love, the participants recount how their time in the brigade shaped their lives.
