Plot synopsis

Sinbad's boat crashes onto the shore, and a wave washes up a chest containing a note—it says that a magic jug is hidden on the island of Serendib. Sinbad has difficulty finding a ship sailing to the East and secretly boards it. The ship is captured by pirates. They search Sinbad, take the note-map from him, and decide to set sail for the unknown island in search of untold riches. Luckily for Sinbad, he is shipwrecked. He reaches the island alone, solves the riddle of the stone, and, falling inside, discovers a jug. The journey back up presents the sailor with many trials, and the genie within the jug turns out to be evil. But Sinbad manages to cunningly wrest the ship of his dreams from him.
