Plot synopsis
Children's film about the exploration of the Arctic. A boy and a girl sit at a table, read, talk and look at a map of the USSR. Murmansk, seaport. The Kara, Barents and other northern seas: icebreakers, trawlers fishing in the sea. The Arctic coast. One of the nature reserves: a bird market, the reserve employees ring the birds and collect eiderdown. A weather station. Wintering, families of wintering on one of the islands. A woman gives condensed milk to cubs. A polar bear jumps from ice floe to ice floe.
