A procession of the Cross is on its way to the Cathedral of the Birth of the Virgin, built in 1732 and now in ruins. It is met by the only inhabitant of the village, Mother Fomaïda, whose efforts have allowed the cathedral to be restored little by little. She preserves the memory of the place where Saint Makarii Kaliazinsky, founder of the men's monastery of the Holy Trinity in Kaliazinsky, was born and where the saint's parents are buried.
