Plot synopsis
For three years, once a week for an hour a small room in an old house has been transformed into a radio studio. People call the Alexeiev hospital "Kaschenko". And often when going on air the hosts say "Radio Kaschenko greets you". The radio hosts and the authors of the programs are, for some in the distant past, for others in the very recent past, patients of the Alexeiev hospital. They are of all ages, cultured, friendly, energetic or shy, all very different. Now almost free. Almost. They are marked with the seal of psychiatric patients. They have great difficulty, and sometimes it is impossible, to find help and support in our contemporary society. The majority of healthy people stubbornly try not to notice them. And yet they need to express themselves and to be listened to even more than we normal healthy people because they feel more sensitively and more acutely what is happening. Locked in the rigid framework of society, they find themselves and gain their freedom by thinking and expressing themselves, by sharing their intimacy in this small room. Even if it is only for an hour a week. And they continue to live in anticipation of the next hour.
