Alexander Turetsky finds himself in the middle of an explosion but does not die. His wife nurses him, the crippled investigator, but due to his health he must say goodbye to his work for the Ministry of Justice. The now-discharged investigator of the judicial police finds himself, by a combination of circumstances, at the heart of a love triangle and, tired of settling scores in his life and family, flees to his aunt Valentina Denisovna in a Cossack village in the Kuban. But on the train his belongings are stolen, he ends up in a seaside town where his colleagues and his beloved wife start looking for him. Retired from business, the usual investigator finds himself at the center of criminal events taking place on the shores of the Black Sea. First the city is going through an energy crisis because of a malicious hacker, then Touretski will intervene in the settling of scores against a backdrop of embezzlement in the gambling establishments.
