The 1930s. Shy intellectual Fyodorov and cunning shoemaker Gurov, having set off on holiday to the south, fell victim to a postal mix-up – a young woman sending documents was in a hurry to get to a date and mixed up the envelopes containing the film’s protagonists’ passports, leading to a series of comical misunderstandings.
