The lives of the shepherds in the Georgian region of Tusheti have changed little over the past few hundred years. Even today, they drive thousands of sheep along an ancient route between the snow-capped peaks of the Caucasus and the deserted steppes of Vashlovani. Along this route, the traditional way of nomadic life encounters the rapidly changing world of civilisation.
