One of the key elements of any New Year is soft, fluffy snow. However, what if, on the eve of the festivities, there’s nothing but mud and slush instead – which completely spoils the New Year spirit and makes all the other festive trappings seem irritating and over-the-top?
Take nine-year-old Slava, for example, who is travelling with his parents to his grandmother’s to see in the New Year – without snow, the festivities just aren’t the same. But whilst watching his grandmother’s television, he stumbles upon a programme about the ocean’s
depths, where amazing, beautiful creatures live that look just like New Year’s decorations… and it turns out they do have snow for New Year’s.
And Slava is about to find out just how unique deep-sea snow really is…
