Two women from Moscow set off on a journey through Karelia and go missing in an endless, remote forest. Every attempt to find their way out leads to a new threat. The forest seems to breathe, to watch them, and refuses to let them go; it becomes clear that it lives by its own rules, which they have no time to figure out – without food or water, the girls won’t last long. Meanwhile, a strange family pulls up at an abandoned village house. Strangers are not welcome here – after all, they used to live in the forest themselves.
