Lyubov Ivanovna, a teacher at a special school, is an unapproachable woman who adheres strictly to the rules. No pupil can melt her heart, because she knows full well that behind those sweet, childlike faces lie traumatised, often violent young offenders. If they’ve ended up in a special school, there must have been reasons for it. That’s what she believes—until a boy named Kolya arrives at the school, who strongly reminds Lyubov of her own son, who died of an illness. As she helps the boy survive in this hostile environment, Lyubov changes herself as well.
