A four-part documentary series exploring the cultural and social development of Kamchatka from the 1960s to the present day, as seen through the lens of Alexei Lysikov’s bard-rock songs. Igor Maltsev, a journalist who has lived in Kamchatka for thirty years, tells the viewer about his generation, which grew up on the edge of the country somewhere between the nuclear threat and the history of rock ’n’ roll. In the film, Kamchatka is portrayed as a multi-ethnic melting pot through which figures iconic to the local cultural scene have passed: Alexander Gil, Kirill Kilpalinin, Ksenia Fedulova and others.
