Three friends set off for the seaside to help one of them regain his sense of smell, but their journey soon turns into a quest to answer the question: ‘How does one become a hero?’. They turn to heroes from different eras for help: Jason, King David and Joan of Arc. But their answers only raise new questions, and just as the friends are ready to turn back, their plans are disrupted by a sudden encounter that proves to be the key to the mystery.
