Plot synopsis
Major Ilya Kukulin returned to his hometown of Vesiank, where he became the chief of police. For his long service in the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department, people nicknamed him "Honest Ilya Murovets." But an old enemy resurfaced: his classmate, Tugarin the Snake. Even in childhood, he had tormented Ilya, and now he had begun to harm the major. But Ilya was not alone in the fight. His brother Dobrynya and the young Inspector Alyosha Popovich stood up to defend him. A band of valiant warriors was formed, and they had to investigate wonderful, fairytale-like cases: from the "Apples of Youth" and the "Little Humpbacked Horse" to "Teremok" and "Morozko".
