Plot synopsis
Vika, the wife of a high-ranking official, is forced to follow her husband to the small Siberian town of Tashtagol, where he is standing for mayor. Following a family row and a series of comical mishaps, she loses her memory, completely forgetting who she is and where she comes from. Vika comes round in the cottage of the reclusive forester Mikhail, who is raising three children on his own. Taking advantage of the fact that Vika remembers nothing, the children tell her that she is their mum… At the same time, the election campaign gets underway in the town, and the forester finds himself unexpectedly drawn into it. He asks his new wife to help him with his image and prepare for the election. The situation takes an even more comical turn when the unsuspecting heroine becomes embroiled in a political battle against her real husband.
