Moscow psychologist Anton is a sensitive, gentle and open person. He comes to Ust-Baikalsk to meet the family of his pregnant girlfriend and quickly realizes that his future father-in-law Mikhail Petrovich is not just a stern businessman, but a man with an anxiety disorder. Anton decides to help him, but suddenly finds out that Mikhail Petrovich is one of the leaders of a local organized crime group, who has gone so deep into disguise that even the family does not suspect anything. Then, instead of a romantic trip, there are criminal showdowns and immersion in a world where it becomes dangerous for a psychologist to be too kind. But the paradox is that it is psychological subtlety that becomes the tool without which the mafia patriarch cannot cope - neither with his anxiety, nor with his enemies, nor with his own family.
