Plot synopsis

During an excavation on Wrangel Island, a live baby mammoth is discovered, sleeping in a man-made cryogenic sarcophagus. The obsessed scientist leading the expedition decides to keep the discovery secret from the public and pass it off as the result of his cloning work. They want to dissect the baby mammoth to obtain material for cloning and research. The baby mammoth is rescued by a group of schoolchildren who accidentally discover that it is sentient. They help the baby mammoth escape and set off back to Wrangel Island to uncover the secret of its origins.
