The present day. Artist Natasha is preparing for an exhibition of her paintings. At the gallery, just before the opening, she recognises one of the staff as her former classmate and first love—the musician Igor—and is swept away by memories.
The early 2000s. Young Natasha is torn between the pressure of her rational parents, who are determined to send their daughter to study law, and her own dreams of entering the Academy of Arts in St Petersburg. A new classmate, the gifted musician Igor, helps her believe in herself and take a risk. The young people fall in love, but their happiness is cut short by a family tragedy. Natasha, unwilling to sacrifice her dream for Igor’s sake, leaves for St Petersburg and begins to build a life for herself. Choices made in youth often prove decisive. And as an adult, Natasha wonders what she would have done if she had the chance to turn back time.
