Plot synopsis
The film is about the small town of Gubkina and its inhabitants. In this little-known place in the southern part of Russia there is a huge iron ore quarry. Through the mosaic of the inhabitants' stories we see the town and the quarry as a living being that exerts an influence on people's lives.
