Based on the novel «The Harvest» by G. Nikolayeva. After contusion, having spent several years in a hospital, Vassily returns to the collective farm where he used to be the chairman. His wife, thinking he was dead, experienced inconsolable distress, but limitless love of a local mechanic charmed her and she introduced him into her home. Vassily’s return was hard for everybody. He gave himself entirely to work and then he returned to his family.
