Plot synopsis

The long-term family and creative union of Lyubov Orlova and Grigory Alexandrov, despite external well-being and brilliant fruitfulness, concealed many “tears hidden from the world.” The artistic councils issued 200 comments on each of their films, ill-wishers and envious people did not disdain any meanness, the all-powerful OGPU kept them “under the hood” for decades, and only the personal sympathy of the “Leader of the Peoples” kept the star couple afloat. Stalin's death, at first glance, freed Orlova and Aleksandrov from risky guardianship. But at the same time there came a certain stagnation in their creativity. It was already much more difficult to overcome it...
