Large format film. The students of the Navy schools embarked on board the sailing training ship "L'Espoir" bound for Australia. They first had to cross several seas, cross the ocean and take part in an international sailing regatta. For most of the boys it was their first outing at sea and this voyage was to determine who would be a real sailor and who would have to leave the Navy.
