Biography
Eva Pervolovici is a young Romanian director who has already on her record an impressive list of short films, video art, photographs and other participations in collective writing novels or art magazine. Multiple by its forms and styles of expression, the heteroclite work of Eva carries always the same intention: to make visible the subjectivity by leaving surrealism arise in everyday situations.
Presented and awarded for its originality in many festivals around the world, she also got an MFA Film Advance Practice (Edinburgh). She is the award-winner of Trailblazer International Film Festival (Edinburgh) and Talent at the Berlin Talent Campus and Reykjavík Talent Campus. In 2010 she was nominated for Berlin Today Award that offers her the opportunity to realize her new short film Little Red (world premier Berlinale 2011). As well as the price "Cannes à la flip" for the Best short (Cannes 2010).
In 2011 she presents Lubaben at official Tiger competition in Rotterdam, while Mina was shown in Spectrum in the same festival.
Eva is currently in postproduction of her first feature Marussia shot in Paris in winter 2012/12. She is developing in parallel two other feature films Ileana developed through Torino Film Lab and produced by Strada Film (Berlinale Silver Bear 2010), co-produced by KinoElektron, You can call me Ada produced by the latter.
Since 2008. Eva has been living and working in Paris.
