Biography
Born in Siberia in 1960.
Completed studies at Odessa Polytechnic in 1982 and subsequently graduated from the advanced course in screenwriting and directing at Moscow Film School VKSR in Evgenij’s Tashkov’s master class.
Winner of the national film awards “Nika” (2001, 2004, 2015) and “Golden Eagle” (2004). Winner of the Government of the Russian Federation Award (2005). In 2008 he was an artistic director of the feature film “No One except Us” (director Sergei Govorukhin). He was a co-writer and co-producer of the feature film “Ivan the Son of Amir” (2013 by Maxim Panfilov.
