Biography
Actor, director. Born in 1955. Studied by correspondence at the Tumen
University at the department of Russian language and literature. Graduated
from the department of directing at VGIK (did not receive the diploma,
1990, feature film and TV class of Anatoly Vasilyev; the first two years studied
in the class of Igor Talankin). In 1990—1991 studied in «Berhov-Studio»
(New-York, acting class of Laurence Arancio). Began his acting career in
1986. Acted in more than 20 movies. In 1996 set up the «Deboshir-Film-
Studio». Creative manager and professor at the acting and directing workshop
with the studio. In 1998 the studio produced his feature-length debut
«The Iron Heel of Oligarchy». The founder of the International festival of independent
cinema in St. Petersburg (1998), of the Centre of Independent Film
and Video.
