Born on October 10, 1968 in Saratov. He graduated from the Moscow Art Theatre (MXAT) Studio School. Son of the famous actor Oleg Yankovsky, he himself has already starred in several films (including Tarkovsky's The Mirror, The Fracture of Afghanistan, The Watch Without a Hand). His true vocation, he says himself, is to be a director and after having directed many music videos and films he made his first feature film in 2002.
