Plot synopsis
A psychiatric institution in an old wooden house in a deserted Russian village. Modern civilisation has passed the place and patients by.
Loznitsa describes this country as a place inhabited by unconscious prisoners. No human voice can be heard and the pain is stifled in this unsullied environment.
