Plot synopsis
Screen version of Shakespeare's tragedy. Dezdemona, daughter of Venice merchant, gets married secretly to Othello, a Venice Republic general. Yago hates Othello and intends to brake his happiness. He convinces the general of his wife’s infidelity. Mad with jealousy, Othello strangles Dezdemona. And then, on realizing that he was outsmarted, he stabs himself with a dagger.
