Plot synopsis
The film describes the life of Nikita Brukhanov-Putilov, ural artist, philosopher and optimist that lived and worked in the basement. Controversial and ambiguous are the paintings he left behind; throughout his life he had been trying to overcome all social barriers and escape the basement but never managed.
