Today everything is sold and everything is bought. Literally everything. Magazine covers dapple with cutie pies in trendy clothes. These glamorous babes glaringly look you in the eyes saying “Buy, buy, buy”. Yellow pages are filled with details of private lives of different stars and starlets. The most selling news is who is sleeping with whom. And the main question is what are the reasons for it? "You are young, beautiful and long-legged? Then you must sell it, sell it"...

What is virginity? Is there any reason to save it for marriage? Such questions were asked by young ladies 20 years ago. What is virginity? For how much can I sell it? Such questions are asked by modern girls.

But is virginity the only thing that a contemporary person is eager to sell...

In the film directed by Vitaly Manskiy there are three characters, three young ladies from the province. Each one of them lives to win Moscow. And each has her own plan. The first one seeks to get into a popular TV show and to build a relationship with the hero of her dreams, granting him, and all the viewers, her pureness. The second one views herself as a new Madonna. No, not the Christ’s mother. The one that is Veronique Louise Ciccone, the one that has become a pop sex idol. Or, in the worst case scenario, to become a new Britney Spears. But Britney made a mistake - she gave away her virginity, and right away her visibility dropped. That’s why our heroine keeps her virginity safe. It is indeed perfect merchandise. And the third one can simply sell her virginity. For money. So that she is able to study afterwards. To study in the institute. It doesn’t matter in which one, but it should be in Moscow. This is a modern version of "Moscow is not swayed by tears".

Each movie should have a happy end, - says the author at the end of the film. All in all, each heroine gets what she wants: one took part in a TV show; the other got a job in a dancing show and money. But what is the price? The price is the money given for your body, just like in the movie. Or it is the money paid for your soul, just like in life.

Although, it was proved by scientists that there is no soul. Well, it doesn’t really matter, because you can sell your friends, parents and some "lasting values". What matters is to be able to afford the price of such "values". And the consumer is just the same as he was in the times of Faust.
