Plot synopsis
Melodrama based on the play of the same name by K. Simonov. Nikolay Ermolov, a pilot, underwent all the ordeals of the Great Patriotic War: he was shot down and burnt in the plane, fought the enemy alone and as a member of partisan detachment, was hit by a bullet not once. His closest friends lost all hope of his return. But his wife Liza in spite of the message of her husband’s death, believed and hoped. And her faith and love were rewarded.
