Plot synopsis

Russia is by far the largest country on Earth. Spanning 11 time zones, Russia From Above is the unprecedented endeavour to capture the length and breadth of this vast country from a bird's eye view. This is Russia as it has never been seen before and includes a number of spectacular locations granted film permits for the very first time in cinematic history. The worlds best aerial cameras spent nine months capturing the spectacular beauty, unique wildlife and colourful people of Russia. From the icebreakers on the Polar Sea to the antelopes in the Kalmykia steppes, from the active volcanoes of Kamchatka to the Europes highest peak on Mount Elbrus.
