In a village in Tuva (Russia), Vera, a Russian shaman keeps alive the pratice of local religious traditions in a shamanic organization called The Three Peaks. She runs it with Anya and Baazan, the widow of the powerful shaman Kyrgys Huurak, of whom Vera was a disciple. Besides the great rituals, Vera gives private consultations. She practices divination, purification and various curing rituals, and she listens to and advises her patients. In a rapidly changing environment, between power struggles and competition with other religious traditions such as Buddhism, the three women try to keep their association afloat.
