Based on Czech writer Ludvik Ashkenazy’s novel with the same name, «Brutus» is the second part of Fam’s trilogy «Witnesses». It shows the Holocaust through the eyes of a German Shepherd called Brutus. The war, the Nuremberg Laws, human cruelty and meanness separate the dog from his dear owner, Jewish Rosanna. Nazi officer Horst takes him from the dog shelter, and after training the friendly and harmless pet turns into a murderous beast.
