Plot synopsis

Who are the Russian designers, where do they work, what do they make, what do they think about their profeesion and the contemporary school of design in Russia? The documentary by Sergei Shanovich «The Modern Russian Design» traces the last 20 years of the design industry in Russia. The first out of four films of the series deals with graphic design. It features over sixty speakers: from Soviet masters of industrial design to successful young designers who built their career in new Russia.
