Plot synopsis
A thousand years ago, in ancient Armenia, the saint Gregory of Narek created the book of devotional spiritual contemplations, which till this very day remains the greatest revelation for the spirit world of the mankind. The protagonist of the movie is a modern day person, a product of the contemporary world – but even in the now days world the mystery of the meaning of life remains.

At the turn of the 10th and 11th centuries in the territory of ancient Armenia, Saint Gregory of Narek, one of the greatest Armenian poets and scholars and the master of contemplative life, wrote the Book of Lamentations. This masterpiece of ascetic and mystical literature created in fear of the Final Judgement presents the essence of the human sin and evil which leaves man confronting it helpless, the issue that has never ceased to be valid regardless of the passing of time.
