In 1936, when the air was already beginning to smell of gunpowder, the USSR Naval Forces Command, together with the Main Directorate of the Northern Sea Route, carried out a covert operation, unique to the era, escorting two destroyers from Kronstadt to Vladivostok along the Northern Sea Route to replenish the forces of the newly formed Pacific Fleet.
It was a super secret and super complicated operation. After all, it was necessary to secretly drive through the ice of 6 seas two ships absolutely unsuitable for ice navigation.
But the sailors managed to cope with this task.
