GIVE ME LIBERTY is fiction but it was inspired by Kirill’s experience driving handicapped transport as a young immigrant in Milwaukee where we both live.
The characters in GIVE ME LIBERTY are drawn from the people of Milwaukee - they're magnificently diverse and their struggle to survive is desperate, contradictory, funny and moving.
GIVE ME LIBERTY shows how a new wave of immigrants is breathing life into overlooked American cities.
