Plot synopsis
The last film of the famous documentary filmmaker Eugeniya Golovnya is dedicated to her grandfather Anatoly Golovnya – a famous cameraman, one of the founders of the school of cinematography in the USSR, winner of “Golden Lion” prize at the Venice Film Festival and other numerous domestic and foreign awards. The voice!over is based on the diary entries of Anatoly’s daughter, Oksana Golovnya; adolescent notebooks of the schoolboy Tolya (Anatoly) Golovnya; letters to his first wife Lyuba Ivanova in the Gulag.
