A reserve officer, Piotr finds himself rather unlucky. But he needs money and that's why he enlists as a gold prospector. When the season is over, he prepares to return home. But on the night of departure, the gold prospector camp is attacked by bandits, who take the daughter of the leader of their group hostage. Wounded, he asks Piotr to find his daughter.
