“The Empty Home” is the story of a young Kyrgyz girl who, in search of
a better life, moves from her Kyrgyz village to Moscow. Moscow tosses her
around like a ball and eventually spits her out. She runs from Moscow to
France, where she continues to search for her proper place under the sun…
“The Empty Home” is a criminal drama populated with different heroes who
have varying ideas about ethics and moral values, and who clash in their
search of the Home and the furious struggle for survival and happiness,
which is “where we are not”.
