The film is about the world of human doubles — statues, puppets, mannequins, which are found in abundance in St.Petersburg. The ones to guide us through this "doll" city will be the prominent artist Viktor Grigoriev who creates unique mechanical automatic toys (this rare art goes back to the works of French watchmakers of the 17th century) and a well-known composer Oleg Karavaichuk, who has the gift of vivid speech, and composed music for numerous films.
