There is no theatre-goer who would refuse to go backstage. Rehearsals and
talks in the wings, parties and intrigues, flirts and tears, success and failure…
Viktor Shamirov’s comedy is about that. Ironically and skilfully the film tells
about the life of a touring company – that life which is “hard and unsightly”,
mysterious and attractive, ridiculous and tragic. A small group of Moscow
actors goes on tour to several large Russian cities. The circumstances and
motifs of the heroes are largely borrowed from real events which happened
in the lives of the authors.
